Traditionally fragrance has been applied to pulse points - the theory that the scent will warm to skin temperature, and emanate into the air. Applied fragrance needs something to grab onto for lasting power- oilier skin people will be able to retain scent better than those with dry skin. Oils in skin capture the fragrance! Be aware that because of this and body chemistry one fragrance might smell heavenly on one person, but awful on another. Also to be noted certain citrus perfumes are the least lasting in the perfume world, but don't despair...apply more! That's fun! What's a girl or guy to do? If you have very dry skin, you can apply a unscented oil or body lotion, then use your fragrance or layer your fragrance with scented lotion from the same line, then perfume. Most fragrances such as Theme, are formulated to last a long time!
Other ways to wear fragrance include spraying your perfume or cologne in the air and walking through the fragrance.
Misting your hair with perfume is one of my favorites, or perhaps a drop or two applied at the nape of your neck.
This applies to both men or women.

Remember though, fragrance is meant to enhance. You should smell like yourself with the fragrance. Don't let it overpower you,or you will lose why it's unique for yourself! You want people to remember the person not the "brand" name of fragrance!
